The headlines are stark. Mo Gawdat, a former Google executive, recently stated that the idea of AI creating new jobs is "100% crap." He didn't mince words. He predicts that AI will not only replace entry-level jobs but will eventually replace CEOs as well. This isn't a distant, sci-fi future. It's happening now.
This is a hard reality to face. The narrative that technology creates as many jobs as it destroys is comforting, but as Gawdat points out, this time it's different. AI is not just another tool. It is a new form of intelligence.
We are at a critical juncture. We can either be swept away by this technological tsunami, or we can build a new framework for our society. This is the moment for a "Pivot."
My proposal, the "Pivot Proposal," is a direct response to this challenge. It is not about fighting against AI. It is about adapting to a world where AI is ubiquitous. It is about creating a new system where human value is not solely defined by our labor.
The "Pivot Proposal" is built on a simple premise: we must shift our focus from a labor-based economy to a learning-based economy. This means a radical rethinking of education, work, and even our social contract. It’s a bold vision, but the alternative is a future of mass displacement and social unrest.
This is not a problem for one person or one company to solve. It is a shared challenge that requires a shared mission. I am not looking for followers. I am looking for collaborators. If you, like me, believe that we need a new path forward, then let's start the conversation.
